Introducing your culminating project for HSB4M: Society, Challenge and Change.
SCENARIO:
You are an activist who is seeking major funding from the Government of Canada, in order to build a social institution or program that will promote positive social change. You will focus on a single issue, that affects one particular cultural or social group in any specific location internationally.
TASK:
In order to receive funding for your project, you will become an expert on that cultural or social group and the current issues/events surrounding them. You will examine any barriers that might be in place to prevent social change, in addition to some existing factors that might facilitate it. You will also "work with consultants" in each of the three fields of Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology, in order to better understand the issues surrounding that culture or social group. This research will in turn help you to customize the social institution or program you will design to help that social group.
